What separates Gore's Anser putter from most of the others versions on TOUR, and around the world, is the stamping in the back cavity: PING GOLF CLUBS, P.O. Initially designed by Karsten Solheim in 1966 - the putter was sketched on a record sleeve, using the hole as a reference - the Anser style head would go on to become one of the most iconic putter designs in golf history. Gore currently uses a PING Scottsdale Anser putter, a fairly common model on the PGA TOUR. That means one of the oldest (if not the oldest) putters on the PGA TOUR will be in attendance for at least one more week. ![]() ![]() Jason Gore's second-place finish at the Wyndham Championship qualified him for The Barclays at Plainfield Country Club, the first event of the FedExCup playoffs.
